Join us THIS FALL in Duluth MN for an unforgettable weekend of dance, balance & community. We're welcoming not one but TWO legendary performers and educators, Cassandra Shore and Tamalyn Dallal!! BOTH are celebrating over 50 years in dance and we couldn't be more thrilled to have them under one workshop roof.
Tamalyn and Cassandra are widely recognized as two foundational "living legends" of American Middle Eastern/SWANA dance. Boasting five decades of continuous teaching, performing, and inspiring, both have profoundly shaped the global landscape of the art form.
Cassandra began her dance career in 1975. She has traveled extensively across North Africa, Greece, and Turkey, mastering both traditional and modern Egyptian forms through intense study with legendary masters of the artform. Her distinctive style focuses closely on intense musicality, precise classical Egyptian technique, and lyrical grace.
Tamalyn began her dance career in 1976 and has traveled, taught, and performed in over 44 countries. Renowned for her extensive anthropological perspective on regional movement, she is an influential figure in the preservation of Middle Eastern dance history.

Kryss Statho (New Orleans LA)/Dancemeditation™
Kryss is a distinguished dancer, choreographer, and instructor/studio owner with over 40 years of experience in SWANA dance forms. Her skills stretch into many other realms, including this transformative & chill mind body practice, Dancemediton™...a somatic practice that focuses on intuition, breath, free exploration, and takes years off your nervous system, seriously)
Erin Mariele (Central IL)/DanceCraft (Zoe Jakes), Diamonds Level
Erin Mariele, co-owner, creative director, and instructor of Tenth Muse Dance & director of its resident troupe, Persephone's Circle! With a deep specialization in SWANA dance forms as well as Transnational Fusion, Erin crafts educational programs that balance both forms with intuitive artistic expression at the helm. She holds advanced certifications in specialized fusion techniques, including 3/4 certifications in Zoe Jakes’s rigorous DanceCraft curriculum.
Raqs and Reset is honored to host Erin, who will be teaching material from the first level of DanceCraft, Key of Diamonds. Erin will be teaching thru the weekend, including a Sat choreography session that you can perform with her Sat night in our showcase!!

At its heart, RAQS & RESET is about connection, healing, community, and creating space for people to move, learn, and feel supported — both on and off the dance floor.
Net proceeds from the weekend will be donated to the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline to support mental health and addiction crisis services.
