Raptors on the River

Join us for a morning birding cruise on the Detroit River! Birding experts will provide a quick tutorial on spotting and identifying raptors. We'll also have a Detroit historian on board to identify the many city features we pass.

New for 2025! This year we will launch from Bishop Park in Wyandotte in order to spot more raptors. We will head up the Detroit River for our two hour cruise.

Bring your binoculars and cash for the bar.

At the end of the event, attendees will receive a swag bag as a thank you gift.

All proceeds go toward Detroit Bird Alliance’s mission to protect birds and the environment we share.

Attendees need to board the boat by 9:45 am. The boat leaves the dock at 10 am sharp. Please allow yourself time to park and to walk to the dock.
