Multi-instrumentalist Raphaël De Cock presents a unique sonic experience centered on a rich palette of traditional musical instruments.From lesser-known string and bowed instruments to a variety of flutes and jaw harps, each instrument is given its own story and distinct timbre.Drawing on rare and remarkable instruments from diverse musical traditions, he explores unexpected connections between cultures and eras. His playing reveals the pure resonance and soul of each instrument, in dialogue with the space and its acoustics.
Within the setting of the Musical Instruments Museum, each piece becomes a journey of discovery through sound and history. From subtle nuances to layered soundscapes, this live performance celebrates the richness of instrumental expression—intimate, refined, and captivating.
