Cambrian Players is pleased to present Ransacking Troy by Erin Sheilds and directed by Rachel Warburton.
Recalling the 2019 relaunch of the Green Room Series, which began with a performance of Lysistrata, we return to ancient epics...with a twist.
Ransacking Troy is a retelling of the most famous war story of all time, but here women take centre stage as the rightful heroes. Nearly a decade after the menfolk departed to fight the Trojan War, the women of Greece—Penelope, Clytemnestra, Electra, Hermione, and Eurydice—set sail for Troy determined to end the conflict themselves. Along the way, they face capricious gods, mythical beasts, and feckless men.
Content Advisory: This play is not recommended for young children; it contains references to war, human sacrifice, slavery, abduction, and sexual violence. Audience discretion is advised.

Ransacking Troy was originally commissioned by the Stratford Festival, Ontario, Canada. The Première production opened on August 21st, 2025 at the Tom Patterson Theatre under Antoni Cimolino, Artistic Director and Anita Gaffney, Executive Director.
