Workshop Description

Andrew Morris, a Ranching for Profit Instructor, will lead this two-day workshop. Ranchers will learn valuable techniques to increase the financial sustainability of their operations and increase profits through direct and intermediated sales. Workshop topics include a background on ranching profitability, restructuring your ranch for profitability, evaluating success, financial principles, understanding the balance sheet, key financial ratios, employee structure, and more. Ranchers Eileen Napier and Stan Hayes will add to the conversation by sharing their experience at Ramstead Ranch in Ione, Washington. This workshop is for ranchers looking to transform their operation into a profitable business with less work and less stress while improving rangeland health and productivity.

Refreshments

Drinks and refreshments will be provided both days as well as lunch on the first day. Lunch will be on your own the second day.

Travel Accommodations

Along with several hotels and camping spots in the area, you can also stay on site at the Sandpoint Organic Agriculture Center in the bunk house. The bunk house sleeps up to 35 and is $25/bed for the first night and $5/bed for additional nights. Bedding is provided. For more information about the bunk house email Kate Wood [email protected].
