A walk along the Thanet Coastal Path and the lovely quiet sands / promenade of the beach and return along the cliff top. Option for lunch halfway in Margate. Learn about the history of the area and Margate’s artistic connections.Distance: Moderate / Long
Minnis Bay to Margate: 10km / 6 miles
With return journey: 20 km / 12 miles approx.
Pace: Moderate
4.5kmph / 2.8 mph on flat easy sections – slower on uneven ground.
Duration:
4 – 5 hrs walking approx. (not including lunch break at halfway point)
Terrain:
Beach, promenade, sand, grass, cliff top, some short road sections with pavements, some stairs on and off the beach
Difficulty / Fitness Level: Easy / Moderate
Moderate – a long walk but mainly flat.
!! Not suitable for those with mobility issues !!
