The Ramadan Kids Campaign is a nationwide, child-led fundraising initiative that empowers young Muslims to turn their Ramadan into meaningful action. In 2026, children across the UK will come together with one shared goal: to raise funds to build a school in Kashmir with READ Foundation, giving other children the gift of education and opportunity.

This is more than fundraising. It is a journey of faith, confidence, and compassion that families experience together.

Ramadan Kids began five years ago with one child who wanted to make his first fast meaningful. What started as a small, heartfelt idea has grown into a trusted national initiative that has inspired thousands of children and raised over £200,000 for life-changing causes across recent years

Run on a volunteer-led, not-for-profit basis, Ramadan Kids focuses on:

• Teaching children the value of charity in Islam
• Building confidence, leadership, and empathy
• Helping children understand their power to change lives

In 2026, the campaign reaches a defining milestone by fundraising to build a school for children, by children.

Each registered child receives a specially designed Starter Pack to guide them throughout Ramadan. This includes:

• Ramadan Kids branded merchandise
• Guided Ramadan and reflection activities
• Fun cooking and creativity resources
• A personalised online fundraising page

These packs help children feel proud, motivated, and excited to take ownership of their fundraising journey

Throughout Ramadan, children will take part in weekly online learning sessions that explore:

• The virtues and meaning of Ramadan
• Charity, zakat, and service to humanity
• How to build good habits that last beyond Ramadan

Sessions are designed to be engaging, age-appropriate, and accessible to families nationwide

Children can also join optional Sunday workshops during the campaign, featuring hands-on activities such as:

• Tasbih and prayer mat making
• Date decorating
• Physical activity sessions
• Eid decoration crafts

These sessions help children connect socially, learn practically, and enjoy Ramadan in a positive, uplifting environment

Children are encouraged to raise funds creatively in ways that suit their age and family life, including:

• Sponsored fasts and good deeds challenges
• Cooking at home or in partner restaurants
• Bake sales, family events, and community activities

Fundraising becomes exciting, purposeful, and child-led, helping children build confidence and communication skills.
