Her works focus on how art and functionalism intersect. Dee utilizes classic forms in conjunction with surface design and firing techniques reminiscent of the southern alkaline-glazed stoneware tradition influenced by Edgefield Pottery names as Landrum, Chandler, Rhodes, Dave Drake, Miles, and C.A. Haun. Her work blends functional forms with historic decorative patterns and motifs combined with elements of nature ranging from period utilitarian ware to ritualistic objects, funerary vessels, and for worship and meditation.
Dee holds a Bachelors of Applied Science and teaching certification in Industrial Technology from Sam Houston State University.
