Rakestraw Books presents a Stuffy Sleepover with Dashka Slater!

Come join us for a special Stuffy Sleepover with award-winning author Dasha Slater as we celebrate the publication of Good Night, Escargot! This special event will take place on Saturday, 2 May 2026 at 5 PM here at the bookshop. Dashka will be sharing her new book (and maybe an old favorite or two!) with an audience of kids (and their adults) and stuffies! This special author visit will include a book signing and maybe a special craft.

To take part in the Stuffy Sleepover (and know that it is super fun!): prepare your child to leave the stuffy behind (pro-tip make sure it's not the absolute cannot sleep without favorite!). During the night the stuffy will have all sorts of fun here at the shop (you will be sent pictures!). In the morning you can come back to the shop for donuts and stories.

Tickets for this special event are $21 (each ticket includes a copy of the book and admits two children). Tickets should be purchased by clicking here on Eventbrite.
