Join us for the first of our Raising Voices Speaker Series — an event designed to amplify the voices of modern-day leaders who educate, organize, and inspire action. Our inaugural speaker is Duluth’s own Heather N. Wilde who not only authored Floyd’s Baller alongside Adarryl Hunter but also published this young adult novel.
Heather will share the importance of writing this book at such a critical time in our history and an emcee-led conversation and Q&A with Adarryl will offer deeper insight into the man behind the story. We’ll serve hot beverages and provide connective activities before and after the discussion and offer a book signing to close the night. YWCA Duluth merchandise and Floyd’s Baller books will be available for purchase.
Youth can attend for free but still need to purchase Youth Tickets.
