Cohen Military Family Clinic at VVSD in Torrance, CA for an interactive session on nurturing your child's emotional intelligence. Understand what emotional intelligence is and learn 5 steps to work with your children to develop emotional regulation. This event is designed for military-connected parents with children ages 3-12 years old who might be struggling with setting boundaries with children, supporting children through big emotions and communicating with their children. We will discuss self-reflection about parents' own emotions, self-regulation, how to label different emotions, how to model that to children, as well as how to provide validation and support.
