Celebrate color, joy, reflection, and unapologetic sparkle during this vibrant sequin-based crafting experience with guest artist Michelle Dumas of Bold, Gold, and Old! Participants are invited to create shimmering rainbow-inspired artworks using sequins, reflective materials, markers, glittering surfaces, and playful pattern-making techniques that catch both light and attention.

Guests can explore abstract compositions, literal rainbows, graphic designs, text-based pieces, maximalist sparkle explosions, or meditative repetitive patterns, embracing the satisfying tactile process of layering reflective materials into colorful handmade creations.

This activation encourages participants to lean into visibility, celebration, delight, and expressive making while experimenting with texture, shine, and movement through sequins and reflective surfaces.

Materials include:

• Colorful sequins & reflective materials

• Adhesives & attachment tools

• Canvas, paper & backing surfaces

• Markers & paint pens

• Glittering embellishments & sparkle supplies

No prior art experience required. Participants are welcome to stop in casually throughout the day, with additional featured programming and creative guidance with Michelle Dumas taking place from 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM.

📍 Arrival Notes: Guests may enter through the front lobby doors and will find The Shiny Shop just inside the first door past the lobby. You’re also welcome to knock on our windows from the outside of the shop if you need help finding us, we’re happy to wave you in.
