THIS FAMILY‑FRIENDLY, FUN RUN SUPPORTS TWO CHARITIES DEDICATED TO HELPING BEREAVED CHILDREN AND FAMILIES IN YOUR COMMUNITY, OFFERING ORGANISATIONS A MEANINGFUL WAY TO HELP BUILD RESILIENCE IN THE COMMUNITY AND PROVIDE COMPASSION TO THOSE WHO NEED IT MOST.
Join us on Sunday 6th September at Wild Cairns. Enjoy the scenic grounds of Whitekirk Hill whilst enjoying the community celebration, colour run obstacle course, and a lively crowd of supporters. The atmosphere blends the excitement of a festival with the heart of a fundraiser, creating a memorable day for teams, families, and supporters alike.
What to Expect
The Rainbow Run 5K is more than a run - it’s a full family-fun day and community experience.
The event includes two waves: an adults-only starting from at 12:30, followed by a family run starting from 1:30.
Participants can complete one 2.5k loop or the full 5k course by completing all obstacles twice.
This is non-competitive fun - it's your race - you can do it your way! Run, jog, walk. Do every obstacle or just the ones you fancy - it's about giving it a go and pushing yourself.
Participants will enjoy:
A purpose‑built assault course, including the UK’s longest inflatable slide!
High‑energy music zones
A dynamic group warm‑up
Medals & photo finish
A festival‑style finish area with food, entertainment, local business market-stalls and space to unwind
Adult participants will be required to fundraise minimum of £200, children are encouraged to raise £100. All participants will receive full fundraising support from our expert charity fundraisers and a free tshirt when you reach 50% of your fundraising target. All money raised for Held In Our Hearts will fund free baby loss support and counselling in the community.
