We are proud to bring the rainbows home to Walker's Point, a safe, welcoming, inclusive, and supportive space for ALL residents and visitors for generations -- and an LGBTQ safe haven for over 80 years.
Please join us at La Cage (2nd and National) for the official installation, commemoration, and celebration event, featuring guest speakers, meet and greet mixer, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The crosswalks will honor Jim Dorn, founder of Your Place (1965-1994,) the first gay bar in Milwaukee owned by a gay couple, who created and held space for their community against all odds years before Stonewall.
We welcome EVERYONE to join us for a photograph celebrating our diverse, colorful, and intersectional community -- and the spirit of total acceptance that makes Walker's Point a regional destination to live, play, work, and love.
