Rain Garden Stewardship (Sponge Park, Bond Gardens)
About this Event
Rain gardens are one of the most affordable and practical ways to mitigate localized flooding and combined sewer overflow. However, without proper maintenance, these gardens cannot fulfill the role they’re designed for. Volunteers will learn how rain gardens work and how to care for them with GCC. Activities typically include but are not limited to: trash pickup, invasive plant ID & weeding, pruning, curb cleaning, and sweeping. No experience necessary. Open to ages 14 and up. any younger volunteers must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. If you have any questions please email [email protected]
