Included in the cost will be:
• one 55-gallon plastic barrel
• one spigot (1/2” brass, lead free, 3/4” garden hose connection)
• tools to use and advice to make your barrel on-site
Cost: $20, payable with registration – registration ends April 7, 2025

Please bring if you have these: drill, ½” hole saw, saws-all
Barrel delivery to your home within Kent/Ravenna/Stow for a $10 cash donation to the driver
You will need to supply your own (not bring but have at home):
raised platform to hold the barrel (cement blocks work well) located near a downspout, gutter downspout and/or a downspout rainwater diverter (optional)

The Oatey Mystic is a two-piece PVC rainwater diverter. To install, cut a section of your downspout and insert the diverter then connect the hose to the outlet and insert into the rain barrel inlet.
This is the setup I have had for several years and it works perfectly. It does have overflow control so I do not need to go out in the rain to turn it off. There are many other types but I recommend the Oatey Mistic.
