Ragnarök - Part 1 - Embodied Storytelling
About this Event
Workshop 3 of our Summer Program:
Ragnarök
Part 1: Embodied Storytelling
The workshop will invite participants to embark on a poetic and mysterious journey into the worlds of Norse mythology to explore the prophecy of Ragnarök, a powerful vision about the end of the gods and the world as we know it, but also a vision of renewal and worlds to come.
Using movement, gesture, voice, dream work as well as drawing, painting and sculpting, we will use these 5 days to go on a journey of collective, embodied storytelling, exploring and sharing the rich mythopoetic worlds we are pulled into. We’ll step into a world of dreams and visions, of songs and sounds. The aim of this process is to create a somatic relationship with the myth, which allows us to oscillate between the myth as a collective narrative and a personal, somatic experience. At the end of this week, each participant will be invited to share something with the group they brought back from their shadow journey into the world of the myth. This might be a movement, a poem, a drawing, a song, etc.
Those who wish to spend more time on the creation of a more elaborate, performative vignette, stimulated by the creative process of this workshop, will have the opportunity to do so in week 3.
