Last year, you might have joined me for Rest Fest, a daylong retreat into deep rest at Rainbow Lodge. That day was so moving, so powerful, I wanted to recreate it this year. Except this year is ...chaotic. Even as rest, done right, is an invaluable tool of resistance, it can feel one-dimensional in a time so packed with rage, confusion, fear, despair. Which is why this year's rest fest is grounded in RAGE.
Join me at Carnation Farms on Saturday, 11/8, from 10am - 4:30pm for a (clinically-advised) women's retreat that welcomes the expression of the uncomfortable: anger, grief, fear, uncertainty. We start our day looking directly into these emotions, expressing them in physical and creative ways. We will, delightedly, break shit. And then we shift our attention: to creation from the broken mess, to hope, to resistance, to rest.
