Studio 188, Select Music and Arts Queensland presents… Storming out of Brisbane/Meanjin and making waves across the country, 4 piece rockers Radium Dolls are looming large. Undeniably one of the most exciting live acts around, the band has built a reputation for filling venues with their high energy shows.
With the release of their debut album Legal Speed in March 2024, Radium Dolls embarked on their largest headline tour to date, playing to packed rooms along the East Coast and capping it off with a sold-out hometown show at Brisbane’s iconic The Zoo.
Blazing their own trail, Radium Dolls’ signature songwriting seamlessly blends humour, ferocity, and introspection, all underpinned by a fearless honesty and exceptional musicianship in their quest to captivate audiences and deliver an unforgettable show.
In just a few short years, Radium Dolls have gone from local favourites to a band with global ambitions, due in part to universally accessible singles like ‘CIA’, ‘Wandering Eye’ and ‘NAA’.

Local support – The Distained
The Distained are four Ipswich high schoolers.
In a brutal pursuit, with an energy and enthusiasm that is synonymous with youth, they have abolished age as a barrier while ripping their border crossover of skatepunk, pushing into the realms of thrash. We are The Distained, disciples of Thrash and Destroy.
Ipswich City Council has transformed the historic Old Baptist Church into the intimate, well renowned performing arts venue, Studio 188. Offering a year-round program of art, culture and entertainment in the heart of Ipswich, Studio 188 boasts a flexible space, regular live music gigs, artist residencies and creative development workshops where big ideas are hatched and people come together in ways that connect and inspire.
Studio 188 is the home for local artists and community folk to foster industry connections, gain exposure and develop new works, with regular free workshops and programs.
