About this Event
Join us for this all new, indoor tour for winter 2024/25. We'll take a look round the collections of Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery, seeking out radical histories in the objects and artworks. From direct action and imperial loot to international solidarity and radical art, we can almost definitely guarantee that you will learn something new, even if you have been to Kelvingrove hundreds of times.
The tour will do a circuit round both floors of the museum, taking around 1.5hrs. Kelvingrove is fully wheelchair accessible; a detailed access guide to the museum is available here. Meeting point for this tour is the Deir Yassin memorial, which is on the road up to the museum from the traffic lights in front of the Kelvin Hall. As you go towards KG the memorial, a small stone, is on your left hand side just past the war memorial.
Pricing: we have introduced a small charge for the tours this year, this is mainly to prevent no-shows. If you are able then contributing at the solidarity rate helps cover the costs of researching and delivering the tours, as well as purchasing radical tat/highly important social history artefacts for people to have a look at on the tours. If the cost is in any way a barrier to you taking part, please just drop us a line and we will sort you out with free tickets.
