Radiant Botanical Beauty for Black Skin & Hair with Shereel Washington

Black hair and skin have always been a source of quandary, mystery, curiosity, and even envy in Western European-dominated societies. There is a sense of fascination with Black skin tone and hair texture because of its uniqueness, and at the same time, a sense of envy because it represents resilience, longevity, beauty, strength, and pride. In this class, we’ll look at black hair and skin anatomy, structures, and historical experiences in Western culture; and prepare infused oils, butter, and tea rinses to support and nourish hair and skin. This class is open to all cultures.
