Rad Roots Harvest Celebration: Connected Roots will Weather the Storm
About this Event
Please come join us in celebration of the hard work we’ve done to protect, feed, and strengthen our community at the “Rad Roots Harvest Celebration,” Friday, October 2nd, 2:30 pm - 6:30 pm at Gather to Grow, 208 Bates Street, Lewiston, Maine. The Rad Roots Harvest Celebration will be a moment of radical connection, joy, and nourishment; with healthy roots, good food, and strong connections-we can weather anything.
This annual harvest meal and festival will showcase local farm fresh food alongside the local work being done to build and connect Lewiston and Auburn to a sustainable and thriving local food system. Come for the meal, stay for the food tastings, zine making, face painting- kids activities, music and more! Lewiston Auburn, and Maine in general, has been through a lot in recent years. An antidote to this is gathering and celebrating as a community. Let’s sure-up our connections to one another, send out deep roots, and continue to weather this storm together.
Local and statewide collaborating partners include Gather to Grow, Food Not Bombs Lewiston, Good Food Council Lewiston Auburn (GFLCA), the Lewiston Auburn Community Market (LACM), Lewiston Farmers’ Market Association (LFMA), Kennedy Park Market, Local Switchboard (Maine Food Convergence), Maine Community Integration (MCI)... more to come!
