We’ll also be holding elections spots on the Ripon Area Community Theatre’s board of directors.
We will have the following vacancies to fill that be voted on:
• 2 (two) board of directors, each for a two year term
• Vice President for a 2 year term (1 year as vice president, 1 year as president)
All roles are voting members of the RACT board of directors, with the responsibility of deciding on shows for subsequent seasons, setting operational budgets for the organization as a whole and approving production budgets for each performance. The board also helps to support the productions and the RACT through fundraising, behind the scenes (or onstage) work, and promoting RACT productions and other efforts.
The Vice President serves as the production committee chair, coordinating production efforts between directors and the board; serving as producer on the shows planned during their term as VP.
After one year as vice president, the VP will take on the role of president for the RACT; setting the agenda for and organizing regular meetings of the RACT board to address any specific needs of the organization; coordinating budgets and finances with the treasurer and assisting with the overall efforts to produce a successful season of shows.
Importantly, the VP and President do not carry the responsibilities alone and are supported by the rest of the RACT board and additional members.
All members are eligible to be nominated for any of these roles; and all members over 14 may vote during the annual dinner; members must be at least 16 to serve on the board.
