As part of our mission to uncover and celebrate hidden treasures of classical music, Sakka Music brings two cello sonatas, two very different stories. Rachmaninov's sonata is one of the most loved works ever written for the instrument; sweeping, passionate, unforgettable. Alongside it, something you've probably never heard: the cello sonata by Dora Pejačević, one of the first composers to introduce the orchestral song to Croatian music. Her music is only now getting the attention it always deserved. Come discover why.
