Join with the community for a 5K fun run / walk to help us change the way foster care begins! When a child is removed from their home by the Department of Child Services, often times that child finds themselves in the DCS office while they are awaiting placement. This can be hours. This can be days. The Isaiah 117 House is a physical home where DCS can come with the child and they can be provided with a warm meal of their choice, a comfy bed to sleep in, lots of toys to enjoy, volunteers to show them love, and clothing, toiletries, shoes and anything else they need for their transition.
This Race to Change is not only a fundraiser to help continue the mission in our community, but it is also a way for us to spread the word about what is happening and what is available to some of our most vulnerable residents.
Bring your family, bring your friends, get a group together and come help us Race to Change the way foster care begins!
