Every year the running community in Doncaster comes together to volunteer at the Doncaster Race for Life, which this year is to be held on Sunday 14th June. Last year, the event raised £50,000 for Cancer Research UK.Everybody who volunteers gets provided with drinks and a 'snack pack'.
We marshal around the course from approximately 9am until 12 noon. It is a fabulous event and a wonderful experience being involved, encouraging women and girls, men and boys, of all abilities, to raise money for such a fabulous cause.
We also need volunteers from 6am to help set up the course, and for these volunteers, you will additionally get a hot drink and bacon sandwich too. Alternatively, you may wish to volunteer to help clear away afterwards, which is usually completed by 2pm.
If you would like to get involved with the volunteer team just comment below and also let us know if you'd like to come along early to set-up or stay later to help clear away.
