Join Us for the 2025 Race for Big Dreams on Saturday, September 13! This event is open to the entire community.
Join Connected Roots Care Center (CRCC) at this year’s Race for Big Dreams — a celebration of community, courage, and compassion. The event brings together families, friends, and supporters for a day of fun and purpose, while raising essential funds for the specialized care and inclusive education CRCC provides to more than 600 children and young adults each year.
Founded in 2022 in partnership with Lisa and Lonny Sund in memory of their son and former CRCC student JJ, the Race for Big Dreams includes an untimed 5K and a half-mile fun walk, open to participants of all ages and abilities. A highlight of the event is the Lap of Champions, when the kids take center stage—cheered on in a moment of joy, unity, and celebration.
For 35 years, Connected Roots Care Center (CRCC) has supported Omaha-area children—whether typically developing or those with complex medical or developmental needs—and their families.
