Race Against Poverty, presented by SeaComm , MVP Health Care, and North Star Health Alliance, is a fun and exciting opportunity to support the community, exercise mind and body, and compete against other teams in an event loosely based on The Amazing Race TV show! Teams of two work together to solve clues leading them to businesses in and around Public Square, where they then complete challenges and race to the next stop!
This event highlights local businesses and organizations, encourages friendly competition, and makes a positive impact on the lives of our neighbors. Event proceeds will fuel our Getting Ahead / Staying Ahead initiatives in the North Country.
The event consists of the actual race portion, which begins at 10 AM and is expected to wrap up by 12 PM, and an after party to be held following the race at The Strand Theater, 136 Franklin Street. The after-party will feature food, music, chances to win raffles and bid on silent auction items, and the opportunity to swap stories with other racers!

Tickets are $60 per team of two, which covers race registration for both yourself and your race partner, event shirts for the both of you, and access to the after party!
