The Henrico County Police Animal Protection Unit will hold its Rabies Clinic on October 18, 2025 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Western Government Complex (4301 E. Parham Road).Rabies vaccinations are $20 each, cash only! Cats must be in carriers. Pets from all localities are welcome.
Registration and payment are done first inside the Administration building at the Cashier’s office. You will then proceed to veterinarian on the first level of the parking deck adjacent to the Administration Building.
Henrico County dog licenses will also be available. The lifetime license fee is $10. The license is for the life of the dog and is valid as long as the dog’s owner resides in the County and the dog’s rabies vaccination is kept current. The license is void if the dog does not receive a rabies vaccination within 30 days of the expiration of the dog’s current rabies vaccination.

Starting in 2026, Henrico Police will offer two annual rabies vaccination clinics to better serve residents on either ends of the county. The dates for the 2026 clinics are:
- Saturday, March , March 14, 2026 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Eastern Henrico Government Center (3820 Nine Mile Road)
- Saturday, October 17, 2026 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Western Henrico Government Center (4301 E. Parham Road)
