Official Fair Entry Instructions:
1. Go to www.carrollcountyfair.com and click the “Online Entries” button in the upper right corner.
2. You will be taken to the entry website. Click the “Register” button (inside the white circle marked with a 1).
3. If your family has not registered for fair entries this year, select:
“I am a new exhibitor or have yet to register this year.”
4. Once registered, select:
Department L35 Livestock Judging
5. Choose your age division. It will still say “Livestock Judging” at this step.
6. Select the Rabbit Judging class and enter your club name.
7. Click “Add 1 Entry to Cart.”
8. Families may then continue adding other fair entries or proceed through checkout.
Please note:
• There is a $5 online exhibitor fee
• Each entry adds an additional $0.25 fee
• Be sure to look for a confirmation email after submitting entries

Unfortunately, Jen and I do not have access to the fair entry system, so families will also need to complete the Google Form listed above to ensure we have everyone's information for the contest.
🐰 Carroll County 4-H Rabbit Judging Contest Information 🐰
This information is for exhibitors currently participating in Carroll County Rabbit Judging practices and planning to compete in the county contest.
Contest Components Include:
• Judging a 4-class & 6-class breed classes
• Judging a meat class
• Breed and variety identification
• Rabbit anatomy and digestive system identification
• Disqualification identification
• Equipment identification
• Written test
• Oral reasons
What to Bring:
• Clipboard
• Note paper
• Pencil/Pen
• ARBA Standard of Perfection
• Show coat or apron
• Long sleeves for handling animals
• Water bottle encouraged
Please Note:
• Raising Better Rabbits & Cavies books are NOT permitted during the contest.
• Small snacks may be kept in pockets or bags and used only during breaks or designated down time. Please no food in active contest areas.
• Cell phones and electronic devices should remain silenced during the contest and must be put away. Contestants may not use them for the duration of the contest unless there is an emergency situation.
Contest Rules & Expectations:
• Parents and spectators are not permitted in contest areas during the competition.
• Contestants may not talk with one another during the contest.
• Contestants may speak only with an adult proctor or volunteer if they have questions.
• Exhibitors must notify a proctor or volunteer before leaving the judging area for restroom breaks or other needs.
• Good sportsmanship and respectful behavior toward judges, volunteers, and fellow exhibitors is expected at all times.
• Exhibitors must attend at least one Rabbit Judging practice in order to be eligible to participate in the contest.
Additional Information:
• Please arrive 15 minutes early for check-in and instructions.
• Registration is mandatory.
• Registration deadline: Monday, July 20
• Standard 4-H age requirements apply.
• Young exhibitors may have helpers/readers available if needed. Please let us know ahead of time so accommodations can be arranged.
• Contest schedules and classes may be adjusted slightly depending on participation and timing needs.
• In the event of scoring ties, additional knowledge questions will be used as tie breakers.
State Fair Qualification:
This contest serves as a qualifier for the Maryland State Fair Rabbit Contests. Any exhibitor may attend the State Fair as an individual competitor. Carroll County will also send teams for exhibitors who qualify and are interested in participating.
