Beat the January blues, test yourself, and bond with friends over a bowl of Rancher's Chilli at LWVBPT's convivial quiz night at the Wye Valley Hotel, Thursday 29th January, 7.30-10pm.Eight teams of 4-6 players will battle it out in eight rounds of brain-teasers posed by our quizmaster Ali Ashman.
Places can be booked https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/lwvbpt or in person at the Wye Valley Hotel bar provided that you bring in the exact cash for your team and leave your contact details. The bar is open from 6pm each evening.
Thinking minds lead to hungry stomachs, so at 8.30pm each quizzer will be served a bowl of Sue's Rancher's chilli - succulent slow-cooked chunks of beef and a trio of pulses mildly spiced with chipotle and smoked paprika, Mexican oregano and served with rice. Vegetarians and vegans won't miss out - your version will be loaded with veggies. And if you like it hot, we can provide some extra spicy sauce on the side!
By 10pm(ish) we will have a winning team, but you can still be victorious! Bring some cash for the raffle. There will be plenty of prizes - so don't miss out on an individual win!

All proceeds go towards the purchase and consolidation of St Mary's, a picturesque grade II listed ruin on the hillside above Tintern Abbey, so that it can safely re-open to the public.
