Welcome to the first annual Quitters Singing and Talent Show, where we turn dreams into... slightly better dreams for a $250-$500 cash prize (depending on how many tickets we can guilt you all into buying). It’s all happening February 8th at the Commercial Drive Legion, from 7 PM to 1 AM.
🌟 Main Event: Singing Competition (9 PM – 11PM): Do you have the pipes to make Whitney Houston weep? Or at least the courage to make the audience laugh? Sign up, bring your A-game, and let our panel of unapologetically harsh and sometimes hilarious judges (straight outta Quitters) critique you into stardom… or infamy.
🌟 Side Show: Talent Competition (In between singing performances): Got a hidden talent that deserves a minor prize? Whether it's a death defying magic act or eating pickles out of someone’s ass, we want to see it!
🌟 The Structure: For the first couple of hours we'll be doing karaoke, and socializing, but once the competition commences we're encouraging everyone to sit with their friends as a group, and help cheer on their besties for the top prize!
Once everyone is seated our suave and gallant host Jacey Gibb, will be guiding our audience, talent and judges through the ups and downs of the evening. Drinks will be served to your table, and there will be a break before the final round, along with a short “in memoriam”; a nostalgic retrospective on past BitF memories while celebrating the death of the old name as we usher in the new name of the event.
🌟Participation (Vox Populi): Whereas the Quitters judges make the final call, the audience will have a say through a voting website on their phone; the results will be displayed at the end of each performance in realtime on a big screen in a public bid to sway the judges.
🌟How to Compete: Spots for both the singing competition and the talent show ARE LIMITED. We’re expecting a lot of applicants, so please purchase your ticket early, and on the checkout tell us that you intend to participate, so we can reach out to you to become a certified competitor. Tickets go on sale SUNDAY Dec 15th at 8pm.
🌟 What Else is Going On? (Karaoke and Dance Off): If you're unsure about competing, but still want to do a bit of belting, the Quitters house DJ, “DJ Play Button” will be playing from 7 - 9pm to get everyone warmed up, and will also offer karaoke for those who want to spontaneously perform on a first come first serve basis.
At the end of the event, we’ll have a surprise set of guest DJs playing from 11pm to 1am for those who want to stick around, socialize and shake their booty right until the very end!!

What are the prizes? Top prize will depend on ticket sales, it will scale from $250 all the way up to $500 if it sells out.
How many tickets are for sale? Just over 200!
Will there be good affordable drinks for sale?: Yes
Will there be seating for all?: Yes
Will there be a break or two?: Yes
Will there be food?: We're trying for a food truck outside, there's usually one hanging out, but we’ll try and make something work for everyone.
