Quinntastic Speed Connections with the Pride Community Center

Whether you're looking for friendship, professional networking, or something more, this event is designed to help you meet like-minded people and grow your circle in a welcoming, inclusive space. Whether you're new to the area or simply want to get more connected, this night is for you.

We’re proud to partner with the Pride Community Center of the Brazos Valley for this event, with a portion of proceeds supporting their work in strengthening and uplifting their local community. Together, we’re creating opportunities for authentic connection and community-building in the Brazos Valley.

We know that traditional networking events can feel shallow, intimidating, or just not that fun, so we ain't doing that. This structured speed connections format makes it easy, low-pressure, and actually enjoyable to meet new people.

How do speed connections work?

Pre-Registration and Terms:
All attendees must pre-register on Eventbrite to secure their spot. Capacity is limited to 24 people to keep the experience comfortable and intentional. During registration, you’ll agree to our terms and conditions, including guidelines around respectful conduct and not exchanging contact information during the event. After registering, you’ll submit a photo and short bio for a private connection roster shared only with attendees at the event itself (and only open until midnight that night).

Post-Event Connections:
After the event, you’ll have until midnight to submit your connection roster, indicating who you’d like to connect with again. You can select as many people as you’d like. Within 48 hours, we’ll share mutual matches via email, including first names and emails, along with suggestions for an easy, low-pressure follow-up to keep getting to know each other (whether for friendship, networking, or more!).

Our goal is to create an environment where everyone feels comfortable, respected, and excited to connect, while making the most of your time. We prioritize thoughtful organization and clear communication, so if you have any questions or concerns, we’re always happy to help.

NOTE: Respectful conduct is required at all times. Disrespectful or rude behavior toward other participants, venue staff, Pride Center staff/volunteers, or Brazos Valley Connections employees will not be tolerated. If you have a complaint, question, or concern—before, during, or after the event—you must bring it to the attention of Brazos Valley Connections in a professional and respectful manner. Any rude or disrespectful behavior, whether online, via email/text, or in person, may result in forfeiture of your ticket without refund and a ban from all future events. We are committed to hosting a welcoming, friendly, and professional environment for all attendees.

Info: Arrive 30 minutes early (doors open at 5:30 PM) to check in, grab your nametag, and receive a randomly assigned seat number. You’ll have time to get refreshments from Quinn and casually mingle before we begin.

Info: We’ll kick things off at 6:00 PM with brief instructions. Half the group will remain seated while the other half rotates every five minutes in numerical order, allowing you to meet a wide range of people. There will be six rounds of conversations.

Info: We'll take a short break so folks can get refreshments, and talk to people they may not have had the chance to talk to yet.

Info: We'll head into the second round of six 5-minute conversations in a row. You'll end up talking to a maximum of 12 people one-on-one.

Info: We’ll wrap up with additional time to mingle freely with people you may not have gotten to meet before we started, during the speed rounds, or during the break, and explore local resources to help you stay connected within the community.
