Quilting with Margo Ellis: Modern Improv Quilting
Join quilt artist and instructor Margo Ellis for this fun four-week workshop as you create a one-of-a-kind modern improvisational quilted wall hanging using 5-inch fabric squares and bold contrasting strips. This relaxed, creative workshop explores gentle curved piecing with a rotary cutter, allowing each project to develop its own unique design. Basic sewing skills and familiarity with using a rotary cutter are recommended.
Supply List:
- One package of 5-inch precut fabric squares (available at the Sew Shoppe), or 40 coordinating 5-inch fabric squares
- ¼ yard each of two or more contrasting fabrics for the curved strips
- High-contrast fabrics work best.
- Solid or "grunge" fabrics are especially recommended.
Classes meet 12:30PM to 3:30PM on Tuesdays beginning August 4th until August 25th, 2026.
