Wrap Up and Read Quilts are small & beautiful lap-sized quilts made by community members and quiltmakers and given as gifts especially for children and their loved ones to snuggle up and share children's picture books together. This year children from Head Starts and rural Pre-Ks across Tompkins County will receive quilts.
Two beautiful books are gifted with each quilt, thanks to Children’s Reading Connection. “Joseph Had a Little Overcoat” is given in memory of David Dunlop, whose wife Peggy Dunlop, donated the fabric that launched the Community Quiltmaking Center. The second book, “We All Go Traveling By,” is a favorite classic picture book.
