Looking for more queer friends and deeper connections? Queerli is ecstatic to host Queer Speed Friending at The Shabby Tabby Cat Cafe again!
Whether you’re hoping to find your new bestie or someone to U-Haul with tomorrow, join us on Sunday February 23rd at 6PM.
All gender identities or expressions, sexualities, races, ethnicities, neurotypes, ages 21-121 and abilities are welcome with the commitment of acting as a safe space for others. We stan an intergenerational connection, and you never know what doors will open for you if you befriend a “baby queer” or “elder queer”!
**Queerli will ask you to leave if you are not acting appropriately to make others feel safe and comfortable in this space**
Similar to speed dating, the goal is to get to know someone quickly, and Queerli will facilitate the rounds with fun and silly icebreaker questions to answer and discuss. Everyone will have name tags with their pronouns. Afterwards, you’ll get the opportunity to hang out and socialize with your new bestie… or new crush.
$20 admission (+ service fee!) includes one cafe beverage, the speed friending experience, 2.5 hours of cat time (and meeting kitties you can adopt!), and a donation to Queerli. Incredibly limited space, so reserve your spot now. (A typical 1 hour cat cafe admission price is $18.47 so this is a deallll!)
If, for any reason, you need to cancel and can’t attend, please let us know ASAP, so that we can fill your spot. Don’t worry, we will most definitely be offering more speed friending events in the future.
The Shabby Tabby Cat Cafe is located at 197 W Main St, Sayville, NY 11782. Parking is available on the street in front of the cafe. Please be kind and allow our disabled friends to park in front of the cafe.
*If you are allergic to cats, we're sorry, but this isn't the event for you! Don’t worry, we’ll host another speed friending event soon at another venue for any allergy sufferers.
