Sharing stories that shape our creative practice: people, places, perspectives, process.
About this Event

“A salon is a room where you go to converse and talk about politics, religion, love, art, sex, beauty, wine, roses, and that fabulous girl and her fabulous derierre” - Andre Leon Talley

Queer Salon is a space for queer creatives beyond the club. Inspired by Artists' Salons of the 20th Century, it's a creative space for queers to meet, share, experiment , collaborate, create and connect.

"How Did I Get Here" is an invitation to share stories that shape our creative practice: people, places, perspectives, process. We’re inviting queer artists to come and share what’s shaped your practice so far, the pushes and pulls in your process, and where you dream of taking your practice.

If you came to Show & Tell you’ll recognise the format: we’ll be sharing some responses to prompts in pairs, switching prompts and people a few times, then sharing the things that resonated with us as a group.

How Did I Get Here will be held in the intimate setting of Impiety Hour, the same soft-lift subterranean crypt we were in last time. We're hoping to spark connections between creatives on interdisciplinary inspiration, creative journeys, transformation, and learning from challenges together.

Whether your a visual artist, fashion designer, musician/producer, performer, writer or curator, you're invited to join us!

Places are free and limited so snap up your spot!

Please also see our Crowdfunder for future venue hires, here - every little helps keep these events free for everyone!
