About this Event

The Ottawa municipal election is around the corner, and 2SLGBTQIA+ residents have questions for our mayoral candidates. Our issues matter, and we deserve a mayor who will speak up and take action for our communities.

The Ottawa Queer Mayoral Townhall will give 2SLGBTQIA+ residents and allies the opportunity to hear directly from Mayoral candidates on issues that matter to our communities.

This event is not intended as an adversarial debate, but a friendly discussion where each candidate will be invited to make their case to voters, and prompted to respond to 5 questions focused on building an inclusive, safe and thriving city for 2SLGBTQIA+ people and all residents.

The townhall will take place at the Good Companions Seniors Centre. Doors will open at 6, the discussion will begin at 6:20, and continue until approximately 7:50.
