Queer Love Fest!You are welcome to Queer Love Fest! A celebration of Queerness and Gender in all its radical, multilayered beauty and intersections!

Join us to celebrate Queer love. Bring your polycule, your chosen fam, your Queer niblings, your lover, your Queer Spawn, your best femmes, your kink fam, your wonderful self! come on your own and connect with community!
We will have amazing vendors selling crafts, ceramics, jewelry, prints, buttons, stickers & more!! We will also have a table with ways to support folks in Palestine, food for sale- snacks, soups and other goodies, interactive arts tables, & some activities & spaces to just chill and be together
**This will be a mask mandatory event** Lets keep each other safe. Bring a mask or we will have free masks available at the door donated
The world is a very hard place to be in. Literal genocides are happening. Continued climate crisis. Let's be together. Let’s make crafts, eat yummy food, laugh, connect & grieve together. Community is a way we get through, its a way we cope. Let’s be soft with each other so we can be hard on systems of oppression that we continue to keep fighting.
This event will center QTBIPoC2S (Queer and Trans & Non-Binary AND Black, Indigenous, People of Colour, & Two Spirit ) vendors, Artists and creators. QTBIPoC2S folks will be centered in the space. White, cis, straight folks you are welcome & encouraged to come by & support local vendors (while respecting and centering Queer and Trans voices!)

All vendors will take cash. Some will take cards, e-transfers or PayPal. It will depend, bring cash its your best bet!
>> Altar for Palestine & folks in Gaza. We will create an altar in the room to honour the martyrs of the genocide currently happening & all the people fighting for justice. You can put your hopes and ways you are continuing to amplify voices in Gaza. There will be resources and information about how to continue to support.
How do we cope with grief? Where do we put it and how do we express it? process it? move it ? transform it? we will have a grief corner/table to reflect on these questions and make some art about it
>> We will have some food for sale. Soups and apple cider & and some other goodies. Cash, square and e-transfers accepted for payment
::: We are looking for volunteers! ::: volunteers help community events happen! plz consider volunteering for an hour or 2!
Access info:
>> The event will be a masked space. Please come wearing an N95 or equivalent. If you don’t have a mask we will have some for free at the door.
>> The event will be in the Tin' (Hummingbird) Hall & Spa:l' (Raven) Hall at Mount Pleasant Neighborhood house. The room is on the 1st floor.
>> It is a large room 1658 sq feet. We will have vendors/booths along the perimeter of the room and tables for resting, arting, hanging out in the middle of the room. The room has two sets of double doors that swing out, the doors will be open for the event.
>>There is also an outdoor space that folks can access from the room if they need some space and air – we may put a table or two out there if it isn’t raining! Also, there are also couches outside the room that folks can sit on to rest, get space, and chill on
>>There are two gender inclusive bathroom just outside the room folks can use
>>We will have a few air purifiers in the space and will open a few windows/doors
>>Folks will be eating in the space. We can designate a space for folks to eat.

>> The space is one big room, sound might echo and be loud - if sound can be overwhelming for you bring some earplugs or earbuds to wear
>>We ask that folks come scent reduced to the event. Please don’t wear scented perfumes, products, etc. to the event.
>> The neighborhood house is on 800 East Broadway and close to the 9 and 99 bus stops. There is a ramp into the front entrance and also a single door that swings out.
>>The chairs in the space unfortunately are not fat friendly, they are standard folding chairs. We will bring in some fat friendly seating. The couches outside the room are fat friendly.
>> There is wifi in the space.
