About this Event
Join Voices of Flat River Pride and the Ionia County LGBTQIA+ Roundtable for our June Queer Hike at Little Egypt Loop in Sunfield. We’ll begin the hike at 2:00 PM, welcoming the early signs of spring and enjoying time together outdoors. Please use coordinates from all trails or follow the instructions at the bottom.
This is a casual, community-centered hike with no pressure to keep a certain pace or complete a set distance. Walk the full trail or turn back when needed—your comfort comes first.
Wear comfortable shoes, dress for changing weather, and bring water if desired. Let’s celebrate Pride, movement, and connection as the seasons change.
Hikers start from a small parking area on Towner Rd about 1/2 mile west of Okemos Rd, and go west about 3/4 mile to a bend in the road. From there, hike a short distance north to the river, and then west again along the loop formed by a bow in the river, making a loop that comes back to the corner. The trail is fairly easy to find and follow for the most part. One section runs more or less parallel to Pohl Rd, and is marked by a faded series of dots of blue paint on the trees.
