Queer Grief Circle with Rosemary Raven Hearth

Join us for our new event series in collaboration with Rosemary Raven Hearth - a monthly queer grief circle. This circle started with a question someone asked at a Death Cafe that was hosted at the Franklin Library: Is there a place Queer folks can go to grieve and be within safe community?
​Not every person we lose is someone we can grieve in traditional ways. Sometimes the grief is for chosen family. Sometimes it's for someone in the community whose absence you feel even if you never met them. And sometimes the grief isn't about death at all. It's the family that went cold after you came out. The friendships that didn't survive your truth. The version of your life you were told you'd have.
​That kind of grief is real, and it deserves a safe place to land.
​This isn't therapy, and it's not a support group with a curriculum or rules. It's a space to sit with what's heavy, to say things out loud, and to be in the company of people who don't need you to explain why you're hurting.
​While we always recognize and appreciate the work of allies to the LGBTQ+ community, we ask that this event only be attended by members of the LGBTQ+ community.
