Our cross-genre queer fiction club approaches books as diverse as the community itself. Welcoming all people, regardless of their identity, our host Emily Reese discusses the club’s chosen read each month.This month’s selection: When Women Were Dragons, by Kelly Barnhill - a speculative fiction that tells of a world where a selection of woman suddenly transformed into dragons and flew away in an event that is taboo years later. An exploration of rage, memory, and forced limitations, Barnhill examines what happens when an oppressed group starts claiming the space they deserve.
