About this Event
"Queer Culture In Healthcare" is one lecture in a part of our greater monthly lecture series meant to improve the education of our future healthcare professionals, and improve the knowledge that people have about health care more generally. This lecture will consist of a panel of experts from NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing, the Circle Care Center, the Triangle Community Center, and possibly more. They will each be given time to introduce themselves and talk about what they consider to be the most important aspects of furthering knowledge regarding the LGBTQIA+ community and what health care professionals need to know and should improve on. There will the be a proctor-led Q&A followed by an audience-led Q&A to answer all of the questions that you don't quite know who or how to ask. Whether you agree with the current conversations or not, come engage in learning and discussion. There will be an intermission where snacks and drinks will be available for sale from our school's other clubs. This should be a spectacular event jam packed with knowledge! We hope to see you there and at our future lectures as part of our series.
Event will take place in the Mainstage Theater
