About this Event
Join us for our first Queer Book Club of 2026 as we dive into The Argonauts by Maggie Nelson . This is a luminous, genre-defying work that blurs the boundaries between memoir and theory, love and identity, motherhood and transformation. Together, we’ll explore the beauty and complexity of queer family-making, fluid identity, and the courage it takes to live and love beyond definition.
You don’t need to have finished the book to attend , all are welcome to come listen, share, and be in community. Bring your curiosity, your favorite passage, or simply your presence.
Aimee Herman and Sam Field will guide this month’s gathering.
Aimee is a writer, educator, and performer whose work weaves poetry, body, and belonging into powerful invitations toward self-expression. They have a gift for creating creative and inclusive spaces where people feel seen and inspired to bring their own stories forward.
Sam is a psychotherapist and community builder whose work centers on queerness, identity, and emotional safety. Sam’s approach is thoughtful, embodied, and deeply affirming, creating a space where every voice belongs and every experience has value.
Together, Aimee and Sam hold space that is both intellectually stimulating and emotionally nourishing, a true reflection of The Argonauts itself.
📍 Please note: This event takes place in a historic building on the second floor. Unfortunately, there is no elevator access at this time.
