Queer & Neurodivergent Alternatives to Suicide — Peer Support at Joy Hertz
About this Event
Queer & Neurodivergent Alternatives to Suicide
This Eventbrite listing is shared for community awareness only. You do not need a ticket, registration, or RSVP to attend.
This peer-led, nonclinical drop-in group is specifically for LGBTQIA2S+ and/or neurodivergent folx with personal lived or living experience with suicide.
We meet every Thursday at Joy Hertz—just come by. You do not need to be in crisis, and you will never be required to speak or share more than you choose.
Alternatives to Suicide offers space for honest conversations about suicide, self-injury, despair, survival, ambivalence, and whatever else is real. We value connection, autonomy, curiosity, and mutual support—not assessment, forced advice, or attempts to fix one another. This is a peer-support group, not therapy or a crisis service.
Joy Hertz is a local nonprofit offering accessible community-support programming that holds space for the impact of self-injury and suicide within Denver’s LGBTQIA2S+ and neurodivergent communities. Its mission is practical: to create opportunities for connection, care, and options before isolation becomes the only voice in the room.
