A Night of Culture, Community & Radical Belonging
Queer Afro-Desi Dynasty was born from the absence of spaces where all parts of our identity could exist together.
Too often, queer spaces haven’t felt culturally familiar - and cultural spaces haven’t felt safe for queerness. Many of us have had to fragment ourselves to belong.
This night is about changing that.
Through our work at Umeed Psychology and The Third Place, we’ve spent years creating spaces where people feel seen as whole people. This event is an extension of that work - where celebration becomes wellbeing, visibility becomes healing, and joy becomes resistance.
Following the overwhelming response to our 2024 Queer Desi Dynasty - which sold out with people still lining up at the door - we’re expanding the vision.
Queer Afro-Desi Dynasty is not just a party.
It is the beginning - and continuation - of a cultural platform.
A space where queer African and South Asian communities come together to celebrate, express, and take up space fully.
