KILLA BOXING'S "GYM WARS 2" MOVES TO SATURDAY 15 AUGUST — COMING HOME TO MARRICKVILLE'S PORTUGAL CLUB
MARRICKVILLE, NSW — Killa Boxing Events has confirmed a new date and venue for its highly anticipated Pro-Am boxing event, GYM WARS 2. The show will now take place on Saturday 15 August 2026 at the Sydney Portugal Club, 100 Marrickville Road, Marrickville — bringing the biggest night on the local boxing calendar home to the suburb where Killa Boxing is based.
Originally scheduled for 31 July, the event has moved following a production scheduling change, with the team seizing the chance to relocate to Marrickville for a full Saturday-night fight card on home turf.
Headlined by rising star Jon Sgroi, GYM WARS 2 features 10 amateur and 5 professional bouts, with professional standout Sajed Hijazi and a stacked amateur line-up including the Reda Brothers, Zyler Feenan and Lachlan Shipsey. The card caps a six-week fight camp run out of Killa Boxing Marrickville, giving local fighters a full preparation block ahead of fight night.
Doors open at 1:00pm, with amateur and professional boxing running through to 8:00pm.

"This is our community, our gym, our fighters — a Saturday night at the Portugal Club is exactly how this event should feel. The card is stacked, and the six-week camp means these fighters will be in the best shape of their lives."
Killa Boxing's brand ambassadors include world-level Australian names Tim Tszyu and Billy Dib, reflecting the gym's growing profile in the local fight scene.
Tickets are on sale now on Eventbrite, with the direct link also available at killaboxing.com — priced from $89 (early bird, until 8 August), $100 general admission, $300 VIP single seats, and $3,000 for a VIP table of 10 (which includes event sponsorship). The VIP area is strictly capped at 150 guests — 15 tables or 150 single VIP tickets, whichever sells first. Fans who purchased tickets to the original date will have them automatically honoured for 15 August, with full refunds available up to 7 days before the event (until 8 August).
