About this Event
The Queensland Emergency Department Physiotherapy Biennial conference is an educational and networking meeting for Physiotherapists working in emergency departments and beyond.
Attendees are encouraged to attend face-to-face as there will be practical sessions as well as great food and excellent networking and friendship building opportunities. However, a virtual live-stream option will also be available.
The conference will be jam-packed with relevant and interesting content, targeted at all physiotherapists with an interest in Emergency Department Physiotherapy, including both Primary Contact Physiotherapy and referral-based Physiotherapy.
Content will include:
· Updates on research in Emergency Department Physiotherapy
· Use of Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) to aid practice, with demonstration and practical session
· How to integrate the “APA National Advanced Practice Physiotherapy Competency Framework’ into your practice
· Managing burnout
· Paediatric sinister pathologies which may masquerade as musculoskeletal
· Paediatric injuries (ACL and/or physeal injuries)
The Queensland Emergency Department Physiotherapy Biennial Conference takes place on Friday 14th of March 2025. Please arrive at 7:15am to sign in. The program begins at 7:45 am and ends at 4:45pm.
A post-conference social networking event will be held from 5:00 pm at the 'Victoria Park Bistro' which is a short 10-minute walk from the RBWH Education Centre. The conference organising committee will provide $1000 of food for those attending this networking event and drinks are to be purchased by attendees.

Face to Face: $150
The registration fee includes attendance at the conference, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea during official programmed breaks. You can switch from face-to-face to virtual up to COB on 28/02/25, ticket price difference will not be refunded.
Virtual: $130
The link to the conference will be sent between 48 and 24 hours before the start time. You can switch from face-to-face to virtual up to COB on 28/02/25, ticket price difference will not be refunded.
Additional Parking: $23
Attendees who attend in person can secure parking at the Cornerstone Car Park on 326 Herston Road an additional cost during registration.
