The QCF are hosting an evening of fiddle music / dance / workshop with well known Cape Breton Fiddler: Colin Grant. Grant will be joined on stage by well known PEI piano accompanist: Darla Chaisson MacPhee. The dances will be called by: Ward MacDonald.This event is for those 19 and over !
Admission is $20 and tickets are now available by etransfer to: [email protected] or at the door subject to availability !
Colin will be holding a workshop from 2:30 - 4:00 at the Pour House and is for fiddlers who are at either an intermediate or advanced level of playing. Registration for the workshop is limited to 15 participants on a first come basis. The cost is $40 / register in advance to: [email protected]
John Murley, Music Director of the QCF, says this is a wonderful opportunity to learn from one of the best Cape Breton dance fiddlers. "Colin's a fantastic fiddler who is in high demand on all kinds of stages. So to get him over to Charlottetown is terrific and then to have him share some of his talents in a workshop is a real bonus"
