From the late 18th century uranium was used to make, for ornamental use, a vivid green glass, that glows in the dark. There were several sources of uranium in Cornwall, including Gunnislake Old Mine. Queen Victoria was an avid collector of Uranium glass and Dave Naylor will be showing us some of his own collection
